Customer‑centric, we offer an empowering, entrepreneurial culture – a place to thrive and grow.Ferring+You Head of Sales Italy You will lead and inspire the national sales organization to deliver sustainable growth across the company’s therapeutic areas. You will be responsible for shaping and executing commercial strategies that align with Ferring’s patient‑centered mission and long‑term vision. Reporting directly to the General Manager Italy, you will define, implement, and monitor the commercial strategy and sales plans for Ferring Italy, ensuring business growth, profitability, and market‑share expansion across all therapeutic areas and channels (prescription and retail). You will be responsible for the entire Ferring pharmaceutical portfolio in Italy:FertilityGynecologyUrology / PediatricsGastroenterologySpecialty and Prescription MedicinesDaily ActivitiesDevelop, define and execute the national Sales Strategy aligned with Ferring’s business objectives and brand priorities.Develop and implement short‑ and long‑term sales plans, including budget definition, performance monitoring and control.Manage the Sales Budget (BUC) and ensure efficient allocation of resources across brands, channels and regions.Lead, coach and develop the Sales Team (3 Area Managers) to ensure performance excellence and strong field execution.Design and implement incentive plans to drive motivation and achievement of targets.Develop and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, prescribers, Italian wholesalers and leading pharmacy chains.Monitor national and regional sales performance, competitive dynamics and market trends.Oversee implementation of SFE processes including call plans, segmentation and targeting.Support the introduction and launch of new products in collaboration with marketing and market access teams.Ensure compliance with pricing, distribution and promotional policies.Identify business development opportunities leveraging Ferring’s portfolio and customer synergies.Collaborate closely with Market Access to ensure optimal access strategies across Italian regions, understanding local reimbursement and procurement dynamics.Represent Ferring at major congresses, scientific events and industry meetings.Experience and QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience within the pharmaceutical sector with a proven record of leadership and commercial success.Experience leading managers or national sales teams within a matrix organization.Demonstrated experience across specialty prescription, pharmacy/OTC and hospital channels.Proven track record in pharmaceutical marketing, product launches and sales force effectiveness.Strong understanding of the Italian retail and pharmacy market, including an established network with key wholesalers and leading pharmacy chains.Deep knowledge of hospital purchasing processes and regional market access pathways.Core CompetenciesStrategic Agility – anticipate market trends and adapt strategies to maximize opportunity.Leadership & Team Building – inspire and develop high‑performing, customer‑centric teams.Business & Financial Acumen – sound understanding of P&L management and ROI optimisation.Negotiation & Influencing Skills – build trust and alignment across internal and external stakeholders.Decision Quality & Accountability – combine data‑driven insight with sound judgement and ownership.Customer Focus & Relationship Building – strong commitment to Ferring’s values of partnership and integrity.Analytical & Data‑Driven Mindset – proficient with IQVIA, CRM platforms and sales analytics tools.Operational Agility & Execution Focus – hands‑on approach, adaptable in dynamic environments.Entrepreneurial Mindset – proactive, resilient and outcome‑oriented.Integrity & Compliance – unwavering adherence to ethical business conduct and Ferring’s Code of Ethics.People Come First at FerringInclusive support package “Building Families at Ferring” provides equal and accessible policies for all employees who wish to start their family journey, ensuring a global standard irrespective of location and role.Parental leave for both birthing and non‑birthing parents.Extended support on family‑building journey.Behind Our Purpose… There’s You If our mission and your vision are aligned, please apply We strive to build and maintain an inclusive and diverse workplace with equal opportunities and mutual respect for all employees regardless of their backgrounds and socioeconomic status.Location: Ferring Italy#J-18808-Ljbffr
