Due to continued growth and market development, we are searching for an Experienced Technical Customer Service Representative to become an active team member supporting the Italian, Greek and Maghreb customer area.


In this varied and interesting role, you will be responsible for the first customer contacts, so you have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service as a tool to sustain our growth. You provide our clients with excellent support and full solution. You manage and follow up the end-to-end process, from product selection, quoting, sales order entry up to the delivery of materials, including invoicing and any complaints.


You are becoming the first Viking point of contact with our customers, while building the day-to-day relationship with them. Even if this role remains office based, it may involve occasional customer visits.


Furthermore, you will have the following duties:


  • Prepare and track quotes according to pricing guidelines and maximize quote conversion
  • Process and follow up on incoming orders, verifying proper application of commercial agreement
  • Work closely with the administrative department to ensure reliable order fulfillment and proper invoicing process
  • Maximize sales by proactively providing customers with product and service information to influence decision making
  • Provide customers with pricing, lead times, product information, technical documents, etc. and support them in case of complaints
  • Collaborate with replenishment team and occasionally with suppliers in case of delayed shipments
  • Coordinate shipment to customers - if necessary, cooperate with warehouse/carrier
  • Monitor daily reports and act accordingly.


You will report to the Local Customer Service Team Leader based in Milan.


Qualifications and experience:


  • This position requires experience 5+ years in a commercial or customer service environment (B-to-B)
  • You have a technical background or experience (construction or plumbing industry experience is an advantage)
  • You have excellent administrative skills and a good knowledge about international trade (import/export)
  • You have a good knowledge and experience with IT tools (Office suite and modern ERP’s); SAP experience is an advantage
  • You have an excellent command of Italian and English, French is an asset
  • You have a proactive approach with the active listening and critical thinking
  • You are a natural problem solver with positive attitude and with an excellent conflict management
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills, and you are an excellent team player
  • You are highly conscientious, curious, an easy learner, a dynamic and agile multi-tasker
  • You are used to work on a goal-driven basis and enjoy the challenges
