Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Hardware Engineer who will work inside data centers; the role will primarily involve providing Server hardware support across a multi-vendor environment, Hardware consists of HPE Servers, Dell servers and provide Data Centre cabling activities installation, termination, patching and testing of all DC interlink cabling ( i.e CAT-5e, CAT-6 6A, fibre optic). The role also includes the Data Centre Facilities management activities such as but not limited to IMAC\D (Install, Move And Change, decommissioning) work, escorting external resources, requesting access, goods in/out. The tasks will include (but not limited to): Installations, maintenance, and repairs on customer equipment. Installation, termination and testing of all data centre interlink cabling Strong Customer relationship building skills. Ability to manage complex Customer problems Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction by clarifying customer needs and ensuring that they are met. Handles customer-relations problems promptly and appropriately. To ensure all calls are resolved within the agreed SLA, ensuring calls are escalated when required and customers are updated, until the call is resolved and closed. The ability to communicate at all levels both written and verbal Display calmness and the ability to solve problems under pressure. Required skills and attributes Basic configuration skills in Cisco, Aruba and/or Juniper. 1° level certification on Aruba and/or Juniper appreciated Must have strong knowledge of HPE Servers. Experience of patch cabling in DC environment.
