EHS Specialist

The Opportunity

We are looking for an EHS Specialist to join our fantastic team in Brugherio (MB) for a part-time role (20h weekly).

Your Impact

Directly reporting to the Director Global EHS you will have the opportunity to lead QVC Italy’s Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) program and provide leadership to all business units within market to promote the health, safety and well-being of all QVC team members, contractors, and guests, and provide for the protection of the environment in all of QVC’s Italy operations.

As a EHS Specialist you will be responsible for:

Risk Evaluation

Develop health and safety risk assessments to ensure the identification of risk and implementation of appropriate control measures. 

Counsel the Senior Management Team regarding EHS.

Oversee the documentation of all workplace accidents and incidents in accordance with local regulations. Analyse circumstances and causes of accidents or incidents.

Be a primary contact between government authorities or the Italian accident insurance institutions for the industrial sectors and QVC. Assist in preparing responses to insurers or solicitors in response to any personal injury claims.

EHS Obligations . 81/08

Arrange, facilitate, and contribute to site Safety Steering Committee meetings.

Ensure that all EHS trainings are delivered to all team members in line with the Italian regulations / company policy.

Ensure that all H&S medical checks are delivered to all team members by the company physician in line with the Italian regulations.

Audit and Cooperation

Provide EHS expertise during maintenance activities or project works in line with the Italian law (Art. 26 and Titolo IV D. Lgs. 81/08).

Conduct audits, surveys and checks, evaluate facility processes, Health and Safety supplies and team member behaviours.

Audit EHS procedures to ensure adherence to corporate policies and applicable regulations of the Italian Government/authorities.

Standards and Certifications

Support the Supervisory Body (D. Lgs. 231/01) when needed.

Maintain ISO 45001 accreditation.

EHS Programs

Lead health and safety within the Italian Market ensuring the delivery of the EHS strategy promoting a culture of safe working practices across all areas of the business. Communicate performance goals and standards ensuring team members understand expectations.

Design and implement local EHS policies and programs to minimize hazards and risks in the workplace, within the physical boundaries of QVC property.

Provide EHS leadership and guidance in the market driving and promoting a culture of leadership, ownership and team member engagement. Recommend and implement practices to reduce the impact of the business on the environment.

Organise Health & Safety days and other Health events.

Support the continuous improvement of operational processes by cooperating with other internal groups, in defining EHS needs, developing and implementing new systems and processes to minimize risks.

Help develop of International EHS standards, Initiatives and best practices by collaborating with QVC EHS colleagues across international markets.

Reporting

Support the Sr Manager CREWS in developing an annual budget plan. Comply with established budgetary allocations, review expenses against budgeted costs and pro

What you bring

Q ualified Certified Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), Professional degree. 
If no degree with relevant experience, we would consider 5+ years’ experience minimum with relevant OSH certification. Training RSPP Module A, B and C following the local law ( 81/08).

High level of interpersonal, communications, and problem-solving skills managing priorities with an analytical approach.

Experience of successfully influencing and engaging stakeholders of all levels within a matrix organization.

Knowledge of legal requirements of all EHS related regulations.

Enthusiasm contributing to a positive team environment.

Fluent Italian and English (this is a role with global exposure).

On-site availability is required.
