Our iconic Hotel Cipriani, a Belmond Hotel, in Venice, is looking for a Safety and Security Manager.We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety and Security Manager to oversee all aspects of safety, security, and risk management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong strategic mindset and will be responsible for fostering a strong safety culture across all properties, working with the divisional safety and security lead and General Manager to create a secure and welcoming environment for our guests and staff.Your role will include, but not be limited to :Taking responsibility for the day to day running of the department ensuring the long-term success of the security and safety operations of the HotelThe production of the detailed local Security Policies and Procedures, and Crisis / Emergency PlansOverall responsibility for security systems, such as CCTV and access controlDealing with investigations as requiredConducting security auditsResponsibility for life safety systemsExceeding guest expectations with service, ensuring smooth and seamless operations which are both discreet and effectiveInstilling a continuous improvement mindset whilst striving to improve service standards and anticipating guests and management requirementsManaging the operational risk in directing, administering, supervising, planning, coordinating, and participating in the activities of the Security DepartmentEngaging the wider hotel teams in all matters pertaining to the Hotel’s security and safety procedures, and ensuring compliance at all timesLeading and coaching the various departmental Managers to develop processes and procedures that will improve efficiency in all departmentsFacilitating training for all staff in addition to providing ongoing support to current colleaguesRequirementsCertification in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Occupational Health and Safety or a related fieldEffective communication both in English and in Italian is mandatory5-10 + years of progressive experience in safety and security managementProven experience in developing and implementing comprehensive safety and security programsStrong knowledge of physical security principles, security technologies (CCTV, access control), and businessExcellent leadership, strategy communication, and interpersonal skillsWorking knowledge of relevant safety and security regulations, including European standardsBenefitsCompetitive allowancesStaff accommodation next to the hotelWelfareBonus schemeStaff gymComplimentary meals during shiftsUniforms with complimentary laundry servicesCross-training program in sister propertiesExclusive in-house Learning & Development programThe Belmond & LVMH FamilyBelmond is proud to be part of LVMH, and the Belmond global collection of iconic hotels, trains and river cruises, all creating exceptional experiences worldwide.
