Position Overview Regional Finance Senior Director – Milan, Hybrid (Full‑time) Overview Flutter, the world’s largest online sports betting and iGaming group listed on the London and New York stock exchanges, is home to the Southern Europe & Africa (SEA) region, featuring iconic brands like Sisal, Snai and PokerStars. This role delivers hands‑on, end‑to‑end financial leadership, ensuring full operational oversight of core accounting and reporting activities, credit management and SOX compliance. What you’ll do Lead, coordinate, or support key activities related to the finance function, ensuring alignment with business priorities and liaison with Tax, FP&A, CFO and Group Finance teams. Monthly closing, US GAAP adjustments, extraordinary & material journal entries review and approval, system approvals, and analytical review checklists. Invoice, purchase order and payment approvals on systems according to PoAs and thresholds, consistent with the Risks and Control Matrix. Financial statements disclosure review. Frequent meetings and interactions with local and Group auditors. Collection plans approval and client advances. Liquidity management, credit risk and bad debt provisioning. Credit policy harmonisation across the different brands. Closing checklists, SOX compliance certificate review and remediation progress status management. UAM / SOD system approvals and approval of critical transactions. SOX compliance certificate quarterly review. Key point of contact for Group Internal Control across the Finance area. Additional Responsibilities Drive continuous improvement by identifying operational gaps and implementing effective solutions. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver projects, initiatives and governance activities across multiple markets. Monitor performance, KPIs and compliance areas, providing clear reporting and actionable insights. Support strategic planning cycles and contribute to business reviews, audits and decision‑making forums. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing. Ensure adherence to internal frameworks, policies, controls and quality standards. What you’ll bring Professional experience in Finance / Financial Control and Compliance within complex or international environments. Demonstrated end‑to‑end management of processes / activities / operations. Proven ability to lead heterogeneous and complex teams in fast‑changing environments. Strong entrepreneurial and technical skills. In‑depth knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, SAP / Oracle and SOX‑like internal control frameworks.
