The Service Engineer will be responsible for servicing all Elekta products within the area of responsibility. Activities include planned maintenance, emergency corrective maintenance, upgrades, installation work, courtesy calls to local customers, and telephone support either from the office in the BU or from a remote location. This is a homebased role (Mandatory area: - Sicily region, Palermo area) with a requirement to travel throughout the Business Unit and Cluster as required and as directed by their line manager.

What you'll do at Elekta

We offer you an exciting opportunity to join our Service & Operation team in Italy, which is currently a team of almost 40 members and in the south of Italy there are 10 service engineers.

In this exciting and diverse role, you will serve customers in your area primarily and be available to travel outside your area.

Responsibilities

1. Aware of and able to follow the company's policies around compliance, the environment, data management, and quality systems.
2. Capable of using and populating the company's service systems and databases.
3. Independently perform all planned maintenance tasks.
4. Independently perform the majority of corrective maintenance tasks.
5. Perform more complex fault finding and repair independently.
6. Good presentational skills to run local knowledge transfer/service meetings in line with experience.
7. Provide on-the-job coaching as appropriate in line with experience.
8. Competent in the use of IntelliMax and QlikSense to proactively monitor and repair systems.

What you bring

1. A higher qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline.
2. Competent with relevant IT technology including Windows OS, Microsoft Office applications, and networking.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Demonstrable drive and commitment to Elekta and the tasks in hand.
5. A basic technical and practical competence in Electrical, Electronic, and mechanical maintenance.
6. Ability to read and understand Electrical schematic diagrams.
7. Ability to travel extensively and at short notice in Region Europe.
8. Clean Driving Licence.
