Service Engineer- Home Based

We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join our team in Italy. This is a home-based role with a requirement to travel throughout the Business Unit and Cluster as required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing all products within the area of responsibility, including planned maintenance, emergency corrective maintenance, upgrades, installation work, courtesy calls to local customers, and telephone support.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Aware of and able to follow the company's policies around compliance, the environment, data management, and quality systems.
  • Capable of using and populating the company's service systems and databases.
  • Independently perform all planned maintenance tasks.
  • Independently perform the majority of corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Perform more complex fault finding and repair independently.
  • Good presentational skills able to run local knowledge transfer/service meetings in line with experience.
  • Provide on-the-job coaching as appropriate in line with experience.
  • Competent in the use of IntelliMax and QlikSense to proactively monitor and repair systems.

Requirements:

  1. A higher qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
  2. Competent with relevant IT technology including Windows OS, Microsoft Office applications, and networking.
  3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  4. Demonstrable drive and commitment to the tasks in hand.
  5. A basic technical and practical competence in electrical, electronic, and mechanical maintenance.
  6. Capable of reading and understanding electrical schematic diagrams.
  7. Ability to travel extensively and at short notice in Region Europe.
  8. Clean driving licence.
