It protects and guarantees work conditions that respect individual dignity, while promoting a collaborative, harmonious, fair and supportive work environment.Saipem is looking for a Cost Control Senior (Expert Profile)The Senior Cost Control ensures an accurate, timely and value added analysis and reporting on a project. The discipline contributes to the effective running of projects and comprises responsibility for, but not limited to cost performance status reporting.The role ensures the provision of all Cost Control functionality on the project including budget set up, updates and monitoring, change management, variation estimating, cost reporting, risk contingency and management as well as all forecasting activities. The role reports directly to Project Cost Manager, functionally and to Project Control Manager and/or Cost Controller Coordinator, directly, depending on the scale of the project.Generic Key Responsibilities & ActivitiesEnsure analysis and understanding of the Project Contract and ScopeProduce short and long term cash flow projections in a continuous and timely manner.Maintain constant awareness of progress of work by pro-actively collecting the necessary supporting material (planning and reports) and information from all reliable sourcesAnalize Actual / Committed Project costEnsure the timely coding, collection, analysis and reporting of all project expenditure, together with the budget holder(s)Conduct reconciliation of forecasted and actual cost and the preparation of the project accrualsEnsure proactive methods in sharing knowledge and experience, raising areas of difficulty and concern and assisting in improving routines.Participate on estimate of Variations Orders, prepare supporting data and documentation and implement validated VO budgets into the cost control system.Ensure in-depth analysis and reporting of variances on a periodic basis as well as calculate on a monthly basis the Estimate To Complete (ETC) project cost/revenueEnsure all costs are allocated to the right destinations (contracting entities, CBS, etc)Education required Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Engineering, Construction Management or Business Administration). Professional Qualifications ideally in Cost Management, Project Management or Engineering.Experience and attitude required4 - 6 years project controls experience as a Cost Controller. Understanding of the EPC projects.Experience of delivering Cost Control methodologies to various types and sizes of projects.Fluent English speaker and writerExperience in working with data bases like SAPProficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel Advanced)Ethical knowledge and application of Cost Control and associated systems.Cultural awareness and sensitivity.Excellent organizational and communication skills, a strong team building attitude and results oriented.Attitude to work and collaborate with an international teamAttitude to detail analysis and capacity to provide precise and logical synthesisLocation: Milan, Italy
