Software Development Engineer, Alexa Smart PropertiesAlexa Smart Properties provides property-ready features, making it easy to deploy, integrate, and manage Alexa-enabled devices and experiences at scale for a variety of property types. As an SDE, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying solutions for Alexa Smart Properties and enterprise customers worldwide. You will collaborate closely with Alexa/AWS/Solution Architects and many other teams and functions to execute on our overall strategy and help realize the team’s vision.Key job responsibilitiesWe are looking for a passionate, hard-working, and talented software engineer who is passionate about creating new products, features, and services from scratch while managing ambiguity and the pace of a company where development cycles are measured in weeks, not years. You will build new services and experiences from ground up, and work closely with Senior engineers in the team and have impact on tech design, architecture, and implementation of Alexa Enterprise features.Your role in this startup team will offer diverse opportunities for creating innovative software. On a given day you might:Design and develop micro-services to create new core software services.Build and ship native Alexa Enterprise components/features that have rock solid availability and performance.Work closely with customers, product managers, cross-team developers to build innovative software.Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.Basic Qualifications1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.Experience programming with at least one software programming language.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
