Senior Project Procurement Manager - ItalyRome, 62, IT, 00192RWE Renewables Italia S.r.l.To start as soon as possibleFunctional area: ProcurementOverviewAs Senior Project Procurement Manager for RWE Renewable’s Onshore Wind, PV and Storage pipeline in Italy within our Europe & Australia Procurement team, you will be responsible to define & implement the supplier strategy for the Italian market embedded into the global strategy for Wind Onshore, PV and Storage projects. You take full responsibility for all main CAPEX and EPC and/ or BoP contracts during the development and construction phase and optimize our supply chain measures throughout the entire project life cycle both from project and project portfolio perspective. You should also have an overall understanding of all the Procurement activities performed in Italy by our other Procurement Departments, centrally and locally.Your future roleDevelopment and implementation of an active supplier relationship management with suppliers for main components and servicesLeading of local content projects to strengthen the supply chain within ItalyManagement and negotiation of large and complex project tenders for all external lots for the respective technologies (Wind Onshore, PV and Storage) in multidisciplinary and international teamsDevelopment, implementation and management of purchasing strategies for these contractsDevelopment of an optimized and standardized tendering process for the project development and construction contractsDevelopment and implementation of an active stakeholder management with colleagues from the development, construction and operation departments as well as management in country and headquarterAlignment management with Global Category Procurement for PV modules and Wind turbines outside of ItalyCAPEX cost planning for new projects and grid interconnection works during prior and during financial investment decisions.Preparation of decision templates for the management including risk mitigation and cost-benefit analysis.Guidance to the Procurement colleagues from other departments in their activities on the Italian market, providing priorities in the Italian pipeline and being a first point of escalation in case of needYour profileSeveral years of working experience in Procurement on an international level including proven leadership-, management- and project management skillsSeveral years of relevant experience in management and processing of large and complex tenders for EPC contracts and/or for power plant / industry or infrastructure projects (Capex / Opex) within Italy and internationallyIdeally paired with several years of working experience in a key function such as Project Manager, Development responsible, or Construction ManagerStrong strategic and commercial awareness combined with both analytical skills and the ability to drive complex Procurement projectsAbility to build rapport quickly and effectively and maintain key stakeholder relationships within suppliersSuccessfully completed studies in engineering or business economics, additional legal qualification advantageousAbility to lead multidisciplinary teamsIntercultural understanding and experience in working with different culturesVery good communication skills (spoken and written) in English - other languages advantageous (e.g. German)Willingness to travel within Italy as well as internationallyWe value diversity and therefore welcome all applications, irrespective of gender, disability, nationality, ethnic and social background, religion and beliefs, age or sexual orientation and identity. #inclusionmattersWe look forward to receiving your applicationAs one of the world’s leading companies in the renewable energy space in Europe and Australia, RWE Renewables Europe & Australia is proud to be paving the way for a greener future.
