JOB TITLE Salesforce Developer and Administrator TYPE OF CONTRACT REG CST Level II UNIT / DIVISION PCS / PCSA DUTY STATION (City Country) Rome Italy (HQ) DURATION 4 months BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT The World Food Programme (WFP) is the worlds largest humanitarian agency working towards achieving a world with zero hunger. We are seeking to fill the position of Salesforce Developer and Administrator based in the Salesforce Team (in PCSA) of the Partnerships Coordination Service (PCS) at our Headquarters in Rome Italy. WFP relies entirely on voluntary contributions to finance its projects. Relationships with fundraising partners from the public sector are pivotal in supporting WFP projects in all the countries where we work; saving lives and reducing hunger across the globe. WFP uses Salesforce (SF) as its donor relationship system and a Salesforce Developer and Administrator is needed to support with the management of the system. ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Work with the Salesforce Manager and Salesforce Team to support the management of the Salesforce platform and ensure that it is tailored to meet the information needs specific to WFPs engagement with partners. Work as the lead developer of Salesforce in WFP and lead development work on the platform in collaboration with the Salesforce team. Be the lead responsible for all development work on WFPs Salesforce platform. Provide advanced support capabilities (e.g. debug and resolve complex platform issues) Develop enhancements and deploy globally following prescribed release processes including functionality changes; create flows apex triggers and validation rules; customise objects fields record types and page layouts; and support the management of the entire back end of the system to ensure processes are automated where possible and that the system streamlines working efforts for all WFP offices. Support the management of the software testing process which includes creating test cases establishing protocols and using appropriate testing environments. Support the management of the user and role hierarchy that facilitates over 1000 users from over 100 offices to have varying levels of accessibility to many records within the system. Lead the production and maintenance of the written technical guidance of the system and the SOPs for managing the system. Lead ongoing reviews of system security in collaboration with WFPs TEC division and ensure adherence to WFP information security and data privacy policies as well as other TEC security standards. Lead and oversee the technical side of integrations between Salesforce and other WFP systems in collaboration with TEC and other divisions. Seek ongoing enhancement of WFPs Salesforce and keep informed about updates improvements and extensions that would benefit WFPs use of the tool. Complete ad-hoc tasks related to the management of Salesforce as requested by the Salesforce team and PCS division. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Education Undergraduate level university degree in IT Computer Sciences Information Management International Development Business Administration Social Sciences or other related fields. Experience Must be a certified Salesforce Administrator and certified Salesforce Platform Developer II. Desirable: Certified Salesforce Application Architect. Must be familiar with managing and customising the following: Custom objects workflow rules validation rules flows apex triggers working between production and sandboxes lightning pages visualforce pages basic html APIs permission sets and groups. Must have at least 5 years of relevant work experience as a Salesforce developer ideally in the context of a large international organisation. Must have experience of architecting and developing complex and integrated technology solutions in the Salesforce platform. Knowledge & Skills An understanding of how technology can optimize the work of often geographically distributed groups and teams. Familiarity with an international working environment. Languages Fluency (level C) in English language. Knowledge of Spanish French or Arabic a strong asset.
