Job Title IP Maintenance Engineer Job Location Position open in Milan OR Rome Missions Plan and implement maintenance strategies for IP (Datacom) network products Ensure optimal network performance through preventive and corrective actions Configure and optimise network systems using advanced technologies Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues under SLA constraints Provide technical support and collaborate with clients and internal teams Prepare clear documentation, including operational procedures and incident reports Key Responsibilities Maintain and optimise ISP network infrastructures Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents efficiently Support clients during project implementation and technology adoption Coordinate with R&D teams and ensure smooth communication Participate in on‑call rotations for critical support Requirements The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in ISP environments, with strong expertise in routing, switching, and MPLS. They are detail‑oriented, proactive, and capable of working under pressure. Excellent communication skills and fluency in Italian and English are essential. This position will ask you to exchange in both Italian (fluent) and English (B2). Skills & Experiences Routing protocols: BGP/MP-BGP, IS-IS MPLS technologies: LDP, MPLS VPN (L3VPN), EVPN, IPsec, Seamless MPLS Redundancy protocols: IPv4/IPv6, VRRP QoS, Ethernet trunking Huawei equipment experience (PTN6900, ATN Series, ME60-X16) is a plus Certification HCNP/CCNP is a plus What We Offer We offer you an exciting professional career in one of the leading and fastest growing multinational telecommunication companies, challenging work and a competitive salary package.
