Location: Dallas, TX Job Id: 1022 # of Openings: 1 Position Summary This position will be responsible for the Bank’s software and customer data repositories, including but not limited to designing, building, and supporting enterprise applications. Will work closely with the Chief Technology Officer and collaborate with other departments to deliver scalable, secure, and high‑quality technical solutions that meet the Bank’s strategic goals. This is an ideal position for a seasoned developer who enjoys solving complex problems, taking ownership of systems, mentoring others, and expanding their technical expertise into new and emerging areas. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Design, prototype, develop, and support the Bank’s software applications, APIs, and databases. Own and maintain software systems and customer data repositories with a focus on reliability, security, and performance. Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and cross‑functional teams to analyze requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Recommend, design, build, and support technical solutions aligned with business and regulatory needs. Develop and maintain front‑end and back‑end components, including third‑party API integrations. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives. Perform code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices. Work closely with UI/UX designers to translate designs and user flows into high‑quality, accessible code. Mentor junior developers while also being open to guidance and mentorship from senior team members. Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tooling, and CI/CD pipelines. Other Responsibilities Keep up to date with innovations in technology as well as user interface designs. Understand and enforce IT policies and procedures. Be informed of and up to date on applicable regulations as they relate to projects. Support and promote the Bank vision, mission and core values, organizational structure and policies and procedures. Provide a strong, compassionate, and visible leadership, which fosters positive attitudes and trust among employees, customers, and prospects. Comply with federal and state regulations as well as all established Bank policies and procedures. Develop and mentor rising talent in the technology department. Attend and contribute to team meetings. Manage continuous improvement that exceeds customer expectations while assisting the bank in reaching “best in class” service delivery. Be highly focused, able to rapidly determine key priorities, clearly communicate the priorities and ensure resources are properly aligned. Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills as necessary for maintaining effective relationships with Board members, officers, employees, and members of the business and civic community. Work under high pressure situations in a stressful atmosphere while remaining composed. Mental concentration is required to perform concurrent tasks and meet deadlines while tolerating frequent interruptions. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications, Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Business Analysis, Data Science, or other technology‑related field. 5+ years of experience using HTML, CSS, and TypeScript with Angular. 2+ years of strong SQL experience. Solid understanding of data structures. Experience with CI/CD tools including but not limited to GitHub Actions. 1+ year of experience or familiarity with backend technologies and API integrations. Experience integrating third‑party services via APIs. Experience working on Agile teams. Familiarity with frontend testing tools. Ability to perform thorough and constructive code reviews. Strong collaboration skills, especially with UI/UX designers. Willingness to mentor junior developers and actively participate in peer learning. Basic understanding of AI concepts and interests in applying them where appropriate. Have excellent analytical, observational, and decision‑making skills. Must be highly focused, able to rapidly determine key priorities, clearly communicate the priorities and ensure resources are properly aligned. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) are necessary for maintaining effective relationships with Board members, officers, employees, and members of the business and civic community. Must be proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Broad knowledge of the information technology landscape, stretching from infrastructure, network, client, server, database, and software design and development, to emerging technology standards and trends. Work under high pressure situations in a stressful atmosphere while remaining composed. Must possess an adaptive, empathetic, collaborative, and positive mindset. Mental concentration is required to perform concurrent tasks and meet deadlines while tolerating frequent interruptions. Must be physically present in the bank to perform these job duties.
