In 1967 the Société Générale founded the first location in Milan. Commercial Real Estate Division (REL) is a business line of Global Banking (GLBA). REL is responsible for providing financing solutions for professional investors investing in office, logistics, retail, hotel and other real estate (incl. multifamily, student accommodation and nursing homes). Beyond its client basis, REL has extensive relationship with real estate brokers and appraisers, rating agencies, debt providers and investors, insurers and lawyers. Responsibilities Underwriting and structuring of commercial real estate structured finance transactions including leading the cashflow modelling Assisting in the structuring and execution of real estate commercial mortgage loans with among others, participation to the redaction of written documents including marketing pitches, termsheets, credit applications and actively participate to any marketing effort Participating, in close collaboration with appropriate bank distribution forces, to the distribution of commercial mortgage loans through the syndication market or alternative routes using debt capital market techniques or ad-hoc structures based on debt investors’ specific requirements Monitoring of deals in the book Maintaining close contact with the CRE market and developing a clear understanding of real estate asset management strategies Interacting with clients under the supervision of Senior Front Officers during the execution phase of transactions Ensuring full compliance with internal guidelines, and regulation obligations Participating in the origination on Real Estate advisory mandates Risk analysis and understanding of all issues relevant for each transaction (context, aim, constraints related to the assets and/or the legal and tax environment) Financial analysis and modelling of the considered projects Profile required Studies & experience: Bachelor / Master degree from a top ranked business and/or engineering college Any Commercial Real Estate specialization is welcomed At least 2/4 years’ experience in Real Estate structured finance in banks, insurers, private equity funds and / or property companies Language skills: English: C2 Italian and/or Spanish: B2 Technical, operational & Soft skills: Professional command of MS Office Understanding of the loan market, its dynamics and the related instruments, including credit and rates derivatives to propose relevant financing solutions Capacity to generate pitch material that is clear, structured, compelling, and comprehensive in addressing clients’ needs Responsibility Flexibility and responsiveness Ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships Commercial acumen and persistence in addressing clients’ needs Proactive approach to develop business adapted to clients’ and markets’ needs Innovation Very good ability to prioritize tasks and to manage competing deadlines Very good communication skills Team spirit Why join us Société Générale Italy is a multi-category bank offering every employee the possibility to have several careers in a professional career path.
