Location: Lear Headquarters – Gruagliasco, ItalyFunction: QualityReports To: Supplier Quality Manager (SQM)This role is based at Lear Corporation Headquarters in Gruagliasco , the core corporate hub for supplier strategy, engineering coordination, and program launch governance. The Supplier Quality Engineer supports Lear’s European and global operations by ensuring strong supplier quality performance across the supply base.The role focuses on APQP deployment, launch readiness, supplier development, and risk prevention , working directly with suppliers producing trim covers and partnering closely with Lear plants, Purchasing, and Engineering.Key ResponsibilitiesLead supplier APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and Control PlansSupport program launches and quality gateway reviewsConduct supplier audits and drive corrective actionsManage performance of key and high-risk suppliersSupport Lear plants with escalated supplier quality topicsMonitor supplier scorecards and KPIsSupport supplier approval and development activitiesEnsure compliance with Lear, customer, and industry standardsAuthority to stop shipments when quality, safety, or compliance is at riskEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, or related fieldMinimum 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing or Supplier QualityExperience leading quality activities with suppliers (without people management) is preferred, such as:Coordinating APQP and launchesLeading audits and corrective actionsDriving improvement plans with suppliersManaging cross-functional quality topics#J-18808-Ljbffr
