Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.Purpose of the JobDefine architectures and solutions for train brake systemDefine and integrate brake system at train levelManage functional and diagnostic brake requirements with supplierFollow the complete train development cycle from tender to project and validationMissionsBrake System Engineer follows the complete train development cycle from tender to project and validation, shall:Define train brake architectures that satisfy performances requiredVerify, at train level, the feasibility of different brake architectureDefine brake chain componentsIntegrate, at train level, brake chain componentsManage functional and diagnostic brake requirements with supplierPerform the feasibility study of kinematic brake performanceDefine train test and validation strategy with the validation teamManage customer, internal and transversal requirements. Allocate requirements to technical solutionsManage technical meetings with the customer and supplierManage the return of experience from projectsSupervise commissioning and validation activitiesPosition in the OrganisationHierarchically to Technical Team Manager (TTM)Functionally to Project / Sub-System Manager during project durationNetwork & LinksProject or Sub-System Manager; ProjectEngineer Manager,....Leading Unit / Participating Units ProjectEngineer Manager(s)Customer technical representativesSourcing (Lead Buyer , Buyers)Educational Requirements and skillsMinimum 2 years’ experience on product developmentAble to work in a team and share easily work resultYou don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us.
