Come build the future of human-technology interaction with usKey job responsibilitiesManage job assignment on a day-to-day basis, monitoring performance on job or queue adherence, volume, and qualitySupport hiring and training of new AssociatesEnsure productivity is maximized through supervision, training, analysis, and feedback of performance data on a periodic basisDevelop the work schedule for the week by balancing work across various workflows and/or navigating competing delivery prioritiesLiaise with Program Management and other global operations team leads to manage risks & propose mitigation strategiesTrack quality and utilization metricsFile and track tickets, following up on blocks to productivityProvide regular, formal & informal feedback to direct reportsIdentify and help implement process-related improvement using methodologies such as Kaizen, six sigma, or leanA day in the life We are seeking an experienced team manager to join our operations in Gdansk to develop, manage, and support our Data Services team with speech and language solutions.About the team The AGI-DS organization provides data creation, curation, and analytics services to help develop, test, and train the Alexa AI. We work closely with Amazon Machine Learning (ML) Science and modelling teams, providing the critical data they need to improve Alexa’s speech recognition and language understanding capabilities.Basic QualificationsProficiency verbal and written communication in English & German or Italian | B2+ level for allBachelor Degree (any subject) or advanced college education or experience in a Leadership or related position with managementExperience in understanding performance metrics and developing them to measure progress against key performance indicatorsPreferred QualificationsExperience with process improvement/quality control tools and methodsDemonstrated ability to lead talent within a team, work cross-functionally, and build consensus on difficult issuesExcellent communication, strong organizational skills and very detail-orientedStrong interest in hiring and developing people in their respective rolesLeadership experience in coaching and performance managementExperience in managing process and operational escalationsExperience with aspects of speech and language technologyAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.#J-18808-Ljbffr
