Junior Engineering Geologist – Ground Engineering

Your new role Ramboll Italy is seeking a Junior Engineering Geologist to join its collaborative team in Italy/Spain . This individual will provide hands‑on technical contribution with specific focus on Geotechnical Site Assessment, due diligence work in the M&A sector and soil and groundwater investigation, with emphasis on ground conditions assessment, producing technical specifications, plans, foundations and underground structures design and other geotechnical aspects of construction. In this role, you will partner cross‑functionally on premier land development projects. Responsibilities Organise and supervise Site Investigation Contribute to engineering risk assessments, technical documents, and calculations Contribute to the technical due diligence, soil risk assessment, and risk mitigation in accordance with the current design standards, codes of practice, and best practice Assist with a wide range of geotechnical design work, fully compliant with Eurocodes Assist in the preparation of expressions of interest and tenders, including cost estimates Develop and provide technical assurance of design, including client presentations and reports About You Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Geology or Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required; Master’s degree strongly preferred A working knowledge of a range of geotechnical software, including Geo Studio suite (Slope/W, Seep/W) or similar Some working experience in a design environment is preferred Excellent English written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgement capabilities Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver’s license in good standing What We Can Offer You Commitment to your development Leaders guided by our Leadership Principles A culture that welcomes you as the unique person you are Inspiration from colleagues, clients, and projects The long‑term thinking of a foundation‑owned company Ramboll provides a rich array of programs and benefits to help its employees advance their careers and enhance the quality of their lives.
