Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description Summary

Activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems. Includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Create definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies in the form of 2D cross sections, 3D models, tolerance stack‑ups, and various electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection.
• Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy and support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge.
• Acquire higher level knowledge and skills, maintain basic understanding of key business drivers, and use this understanding to accomplish own work.
• Understand how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
• Have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework;
  
  resolve issues that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures.
• Consult more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions or parameters.
• Possibly lead a junior team and develop strong customer relationships for customer‑facing roles.
• Explain technical information to others.

Required Qualifications

• Basic experience in Engineering/Technology & Drafting.
• Knowledge level comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma with relevant experience.

• Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

Position Details

• Position: Mechanical Design Engineer (Professional Band).
• Date published: June 10th, 2026.
• Weekly hours: 38.5 for white collars and non‑shift blue collars;
  
  38 for shift bluecollars.
• Pay range: €36,800 – €55,200 gross per annum.
