Data Center Technician, DCO Amazon Web Services (AWS)Description AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.Key ResponsibilitiesFollow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world-class safety culture.Diagnosing hardware and network problems followed by physical repairs.Troubleshooting events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs).Performing root cause analysis of equipment failures.Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations).Working rotating shifts (morning/late/night) as well as weekends to maintain the 24/7 data center environment.Engage other appropriate solution groups on more complex problems to drive solutions.Basic QualificationsIT hardware troubleshooting related experience.Completed formal education/apprenticeship or training in IT related field.B1 level of English.Preferred QualificationsDiploma or equivalent formal qualification in IT related field.Basic knowledge of Linux and experience with network protocols and in Data Center.Benefits & Conditions Local travel may be required up to 10% of the time. A valid (EU) driving license is required as Data Centers may not have any public transportation available nearby.Location Requirements: Our data centers are located in remote areas outside Milan, where access via public transport may be limited. Therefore, a valid EU driving license is required for this role.This is a 100% onsite in-person position due to the hands‑on nature of managing mission‑critical infrastructure and data center industry.About The Team AWS values diverse experiences.
