Data Center Technician, DCO Amazon Web Services (AWS) invites applications for a Data Center Technician in the Data Center Operations (DCO) team.Overview AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep the cloud running. As a DCO Technician you will troubleshoot and resolve a range of data‑center infrastructure issues—including hardware, fiber, and networking problems—on a 24/7 basis, collaborating with software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, and security experts.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose hardware and network problems and perform physical repairs.Troubleshoot events to meet internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs).Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.Execute manual handling and lifting of equipment (weight limits in accordance with regulations).Follow and maintain the highest safety standards, and own safety initiatives to foster a strong safety culture.Collaborate with other solution teams on complex problems to drive actionable solutions.Location & Travel Our data centers are located in remote areas outside Milan, where access via public transport may be limited. Local travel of up to 10% of the time may be required and a valid EU driving license is mandatory.Work Schedule This is a 100% onsite, in‑person position due to the hands‑on nature of managing mission‑critical infrastructure.Qualifications – BasicIT hardware troubleshooting related experience.Formal education, apprenticeship or training in an IT related field.English proficiency at B1 level.Qualifications – PreferredDiploma or equivalent formal qualification in an IT related field.Basic knowledge of Linux, network protocols, and data‑center operations.The Team The DCO team is diverse, inclusive, and collaborative.
