As a Staff Electrical Failure Analysis Engineer, you will play a critical role in understanding and reproducing customer-reported failures, performing detailed analysis, and driving solutions for improvement. If you’re ready to take on this exciting opportunity and make a real impact, apply now to join our new dynamic team in Padova As a Staff Electrical Failure Analysis Engineer, you will be responsible for customer return analysis for automotive microcontroller products. You will work on understanding and reproducing customer-reported failures, performing in-depth technical analyses using advanced tools and equipment, and providing expert guidance to ensure efficient resolution and continuous improvement. ResponsibilitiesUnderstand the customers failure description and reproduce failures in the application or at device level Define the failure origin as well as further analysis steps and perform the analysis using a test bench while also guiding and mentoring other colleagues throughout the process Use, adapt and develop our functional tests (i.e. application pattern) for reproducing the failure at our evaluation board Build-up a special measurement setup, including an oscilloscope and a debugger, to stimulate the failure. Sometimes, the execution and debugging of customer code will also be required Drive analysis reports and perform continuous updates to enable our "customer complaint organization" to provide regular status updates to our customers Generate special test cases for the localization of defects in the device for Physical Failure Analysis preparation Define concepts for test program improvements if required Build up a technical focus area where you are our most experienced engineer, e.g. Non-Volatile-Memory (NVM), SRAM, Mixed-signal / analog, High-Speed-Interfaces or test-program development Note : This job is in electrical failure engineering, not in physical failure analysis. This role involves electrical measuring the device, no chemical or optical activities. You are best equipped for this task if you have: You are best equipped for this task if you haveA Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics or other technical fields At least 3 or more years of working experience in electrical failure analysis or a similar field Proven experience in electrical measurement methods: DC measurements, usage of oscilloscopes and frequency generators; physical background for semiconductor measurements Knowledge in software development for (automotive) microcontroller applications Experience in microcontroller programming with C, Perl or Python Knowhow about semiconductor structures and manufacturing (i.e. special knowledge of NVM and or highspeed interface) Fluency in English, Italian would be an advantage Please send us your CV in English.
