The Group's committed employees act on a daily basis to enrich the building of tomorrow.To find out more +: you want to invest in a responsible, innovative and ambitious company?The Legrand Group is looking for a Group Category Manager – Commodities M/F based at one of its Legrand Group industrial sites in Italy, Poland or Spain.Context of the mission:As part of the Group Purchasing Department, reporting to the VP Direct Material Purchasing Category, you are responsible for the development and execution of the global category strategy. You ensure cost competitiveness, supplier performance, risk reduction and innovation, in collaboration with internal stakeholders, local and cross‑functional teams.Main activities:Develop and deploy category strategies aligned with the Group's objectives.Conduct market analyses, benchmarks and competitive sourcing exercises.Manage sourcing activities and supplier relations for assigned commodities.Negotiate supply agreements and long‑term contracts.Identify and evaluate new suppliers and alternative markets.Provide a functional framework for the network of buyers in the different countries and promote the sharing of good practices.Manage supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery, CSR) and prepare Executive Business Reviews.Profile sought:You have at least 10 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, product management or category management.You have a baccalaureate +5 level diploma (business or engineering school).You have an appetite for negotiation and contract management.You are fluent in English, both written and spoken (other languages appreciated).Experience in packaging, plastics or industrial commodities is a plus.Demonstrated experience in sustainability, CSR or low‑carbon purchasing is appreciated.Softskills :With interpersonal skills, you are recognized for your ability to influence, manage various stakeholders and network in an international context.Analytical mind and strong ability to anticipate market trends.Do you recognize yourself through this profile?
