This role will be instrumental in establishing standardized infrastructure deployment practices, managing complex cross‑functional programs, and ensuring operational readiness across multiple facilities and technical environments.A successful candidate is a self‑starter who thrives in a start‑up environment, has a passion for scaling operations, and possesses a strong background in technology infrastructure program management, network systems, telecommunications, security systems, and communications distribution design and delivery.This role requires 25‑50% travel.Key job responsibilitiesProgram Management & Strategy:Lead end‑to‑end infrastructure readiness programs across solution development and deployment initiativesDevelop and maintain comprehensive infrastructure deployment roadmaps aligned with business milestonesDrive standardization of infrastructure deployment processes and technical specifications.Create and manage integrated project schedules across multiple workstreamsEstablish and track program KPIs, ensuring visibility and accountabilityTechnical Leadership:Provide feasibility assessment, scoping, and requirements definition across projectsLead technical due diligence, risk assessment, and programming for infrastructure deliveryManage WAN service feasibility studies, bid analysis, and last‑mile constructionDrive network, server, and wireless infrastructure design, hardware planning, and commissioningOversee security systems deployment and integrationEnsure infrastructure requirements are met during facility design, permitting, and constructionLead communications distribution design and low voltage integration effortsStakeholder Management:Act as technical liaison between internal engineering teams and project engineering vendorsLead quarterly business reviews with engineering vendorsPartner with product managers and engineering teams on infrastructure systems developmentBuild and maintain strong relationships with cross‑functional teams including facilities, networking, security, and operationsContinuous Improvement:Drive evolution of program management procedures and design standardsImplement best practices for infrastructure deployment and scalingDevelop and maintain documentation for deployment processes and technical standardsLead operational readiness reviews and system acceptance testingEstablish metrics and reporting frameworks for infrastructure programsA day in the lifeIn this role, you will drive critical infrastructure initiatives that enable Leo's ambitious mission by delivering scalable solutions across satellite manufacturing, testing, and deployment facilities.You will be partnering with engineering, operations, supply chain, and other teams to standardize infrastructure deployment, influence technical architecture, and build frameworks for sustainable growth.This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of global communications infrastructure while working with advanced technologies in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment.About the teamYou'll be joining a newly formed infrastructure program team within Enterprise Technology, focused on building and scaling the foundation that enables Leo's ambitious mission. Our culture emphasizes ownership, data‑driven decision making, and innovation in solving complex problems.We're building something that's never been done before, and we're looking for individuals who are excited about creating new solutions rather than following established playbooks.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field, or equivalent experienceExperience managing enterprise‑level technical infrastructure programsExperience scaling technical infrastructure operationsExperience delivering program updates to executive stakeholdersExperience managing infrastructure deployment projectsExperience leading the buildout of physical data centers and/or MDF/IDF spacesExperience with physical layer telecommunications and WAN circuit deliveryExperience developing communications distribution design drawings and construction documentationWorking knowledge of network, server, and wireless infrastructure architectureFlexibility to travel domestically and internationally, and work within global time zonesPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical fieldPMP certificationBICSI RCDD certificationDCDC, OSP, NTS, or PSP certificationsExperience in aerospace, manufacturing, or regulated industriesStrong influencing and stakeholder management abilitiesExcellence in written and verbal communicationProven ability to lead complex technical initiatives in ambiguous environmentsTrack record of building scalable operational processesCompensationOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
