Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como aims to become one of the most exclusive resorts in Europe,representingthe true elegant Italian but understated luxury experience for a worldwide Clientele.Our vision is to promote our welcoming,genuineand passionate culture to attract and engage exceptional talents, under the guidance of enthusiastic leaders.Our aim is to get the best out ofeach individualand being recognized as an employer of choice among the most exclusive hotels in the world.SALES MANAGER Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como’sSales Manageris responsible for, but not limited to,the resort’stotal revenue goals and quality targetsandsupports the Director of Marketing and Commerce inestablishingthe resort within local and international markets and securing transient, group and banqueting business for long lasting relationships with key agents and clients.Duties andresponsibilities: SupportMOHGphilosophy and culture daily to ensureguests’satisfaction and theachievement of our MissionAnalyze local market trends and develop new business leadsHandleandqualifytheproposal and follow-up of transient, group and banqueting enquiries and actively engage with clients to maximizetheconversion of businessEnsure a“sales approach”in every lead, customizing offers and ensuring that a luxury and positive attitude is always guaranteedParticipate in external sales appointments, trips,fairsand tradeshowswhenrelevant forthe specificmarket segmentParticipate in local events and sales calls, including property site inspectionsDemonstrate proactivity to bring back former clients andacquirenew onesFollow internal financial policies, managingand verifyingclient payments and outstanding balancesUse systems to pull out reports and analyze figures and data consistentlyEnrichtheexisting database, ensuring time efficiency and data accuracy as per MOHGpoliciesAttend daily departmental meetingsMeet theobjectivesas set by the CompanyCommunicate and cooperate with all departments asrequiredacross the hotel and the whole CompanyFollow company grooming policiesRequirements: At least a3-years experiencein a similar position within theluxuryhospitality industryFluent in English and Italian. Other languages areconsidereda plusCreative thinking and bespoke approach toguests’requests and needsStrong time-management skillsGood knowledge of Microsoft Office PackageCharming and dynamic approach to clients and colleaguesProblem-solving attitudeStrong presentation skillsEnergetic,dynamicand enthusiasticAvailable to flexible hoursAvailable to travel (local and international)We believe a diverse and inclusive culture is better for everyone.
