Spare Parts Engineer - Technical SpecialistAs a Spare Parts Engineer - Technical Specialist, you will ensure the reliability of our products throughout their lifecycle. Your expertise in spare parts design and management will support our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D and product engineering, to enhance our spare parts offerings. Key responsibilities include analyzing product components, identifying critical spare parts, and drafting technical documentation. Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be essential in guiding field service and sales teams to identify the right parts and to meet customer needs. Additionally, you will assist in resolving service cases and developing tailored spare parts kits to enhance our service contracts and partnerships.Join us to make a significant impact on product reliability and customer satisfaction, shaping the future of our spare parts strategy and maintaining our industry leadership.Your ResponsibilitiesDesign or Modify Spare Parts (Reverse Engineering)Technical analysis of product components and their applicationsDefinition of critical spare parts based on failure risk, lead time, and impact on functionalityDrafting and maintaining technical documentation (BOM) throughout the product lifecycleCollaborating with R&D and product engineeringSupport Field Service and Sales in Identifying Spare PartsAssisting field service in identifying the correct parts needed to resolve specific service cases (photos or field reports)Supporting sales and aftermarket in defining spare parts lists for offers, tenders, or service contracts (including service partnerships)Preparing or reviewing spare parts lists, exploded views, and technical datasheetsCommunicating clearly with non-technical stakeholders (sales, customers) to ensure understanding of part functions and compatibilityTechnical Validation of Alternatives or ReplacementsResearching technically compatible alternatives to cope with temporary shortages (supply chain issues), end-of-life of the original component, or economically unviable sourcing of the original partParts recovery from production obsolete stock materials or decommissioned products, verifying condition, compatibility, and potential for reuseEnsure the Producibility of Spare PartsDefining the kitting/production locationCoordinating the definition of production routing (phases, equipment, functional tests)Collaborating in the evaluation of feasibility and production costs & timesCollaborating with manufacturing engineering and third-party suppliersParticipating in pre-series testing or sampling to validate the processEnsure the Quality of Spare PartsCollaborating with the quality team to define inspection and testing proceduresManaging traceability and recall by ensuring that all critical spare parts are traceable by batch, serial number, or production lotAnalyzing and resolving quality-related claims (e.g., incomplete kits, incorrect packaging or labeling).
