Join to apply for the Room Attendant role at Mandarin OrientalMandarin Oriental, Lago di Como aims to become one of the most exclusive resorts in Europe, representing the true elegant Italian but understated luxury experience for a worldwide clientele.Our vision is to promote our welcoming, genuine and passionate culture to attract and engage exceptional talents, under the guidance of enthusiastic leaders.Our aim is to get the best out of each individual and being recognized as an employer of choice among the most exclusive hotels in the world.Room AttendantMandarin Oriental, Lago di Como’s Room Attendant is in charge of making up the guestrooms and accounts for their cleanliness and tidiness during the guests’ stay and before their arrival.Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnsure cleanliness standards are maintained in all guestrooms on a daily basisInspect all guestroom’s fresh linens for cleanliness and substandard appearanceEfficiently turndown bed to meet appearance standard as demonstratedArrange all clothing items in occupied guestrooms making sure that they are folded or hung neatly according to standard as demonstratedSet up turndown tray with water as well as other turndown amenities as demonstratedTurn on stereo/television to appropriate welcome standardTurn on appropriate lighting if guest is not present during serviceEnsure guest has the correct amount of valet/dry cleaning/shoeshine bags/slipsReplace guest amenities when appropriateDouble check cleanliness of completed work area and placement of amenities in each complete guestroom before moving on to the next taskVacuum guestroom’s carpet furniture and baseboards according to standard during the serviceEmpty waste basketsRecognize and report all missing, damaged or substandard furniture, fixtures and equipmentEnsure that all electronic devices (television, stereo, telephones) are working properlyEvaluate work assignment and prioritize workload according to guest requestsEnsure all guestrooms assigned are completed with correct status marked at the end of the day including any information for input into guest history fileOrganize supply closets and work areas so that the Housekeeping Department operates, maintains and consistently meets efficient standardsComply with all MOHG Pillars, Department LQE’s and Guiding PrinciplesAdhere to Do Not Disturb policyRequirementsGood knowledge of Italian and EnglishAble to stand and walk for an extended period of timeAbility to push and pull the housekeeping cartPossess a pleasant and outgoing personalityMust be willing to work on a flexible schedule, weekends and holidaysWe believe a diverse and inclusive culture is better for everyone.
