You will be involved in performance cycles and help your direct reports grow and reach the next stages of their career. Next to that you are responsible for driving technical discussions within the team. You will be working on highly scalable solutions that process many payments per second at any point of the day. System observability and scalability are becoming increasingly important.The particular position we are aiming to fill is focussed on Continuous Integration (CI) / our Build process and tools. Your team is responsible for our self-hosted Gitlab instances (code repositories and pipelines) base images dependency management and shared pipelines. As such you play a pivotal role for all Mollies and our mission to Always Be Shipping. Within our domain we are working towards an engineering environment that's highly available. We want to offer more self-service capabilities adopt an inner source way of working and champion golden paths. We got started moving the needle on these capabilities but are looking for an Engineering Manager who can help us get there.What you'll shipManage a team of 4-8 engineers directly, go through performance cycles, train them through continuous feedback and help them to the next stages in their career.Be involved in the hiring process in order to build a world-class engineering team.You bring a strong perspective that inspires change and motivate engineers to develop scalable solutions.Work with engineers and product delivery manager to create the roadmap.Work together with the team to create cutting-edge user friendly internal products which are used by hundreds of engineers on a daily basis.Guide and enable engineers based on modern platform engineering practices.Develop a positive & collaborative work culture that empowers the team to perform at their best.What you'll bringMinimum of 7 years of experience developing or operating large scale web applications of which 2 years in an engineering management role.Experience building strong effective engineering teams through hiring coaching and mentoring especially on fast growing company.Experience with observability stacks preferably Datadog or similar.Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders.Experience driving DevOps best practices of end-to-end responsibility customer centricity and have automation at heart.Experience implementing data-driven decision making processes through Service Level Objectives (SLOs).Experience in developing large scale systems and driving technical and architectural discussion within the team.Nice to havesExperience in working in a fast paced environment.Experience working with Google Cloud Platform or similar public cloud.Experience working with Site Reliability principles to drive operational excellence across Engineering.Solid computer science background.Grow your wayAt Mollie growth is personal.
