RINA is currently recruiting for a Junior ILS Airworthiness Engineer to join its office in Turin within the Electronics and System Engineering Division. Mission The role focuses on the Defence sector, where the successful candidate will coordinate and support the processes essential for the commissioning of aircraft and the certification of modifications onboard. This involves close collaboration with multiple stakeholders to ensure all technical and regulatory standards are met to maintain the highest levels of airworthiness and safety. Key Accountabilities
- Gathering and accurately identifying all relevant technical information required to assess aeronautical requirements impacted by modifications, ensuring precise and thorough documentation.
- Serving as a primary interface with clients and national regulatory bodies, facilitating clear communication and timely issuance of documentation verifying compliance with applicable aviation standards.
- Conducting detailed document reviews to verify conformity with regulatory and technical requirements, maintaining rigorous quality and compliance standards.
- Validating Service Bulletins to confirm procedural and safety criteria are met before implementation.
- Contributing to the development and refinement of qualification process documents concerning aircraft and onboard modifications, supporting continual improvement and regulatory adherence.
- Assisting in the definition and management of aircraft configuration documents, ensuring all changes are meticulously tracked and controlled throughout the modification lifecycle.
- Supporting cross-functional teams through collaborative problem-solving to address challenges related to certification processes and aircraft modifications.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulatory changes, and best practices within aerospace engineering to inform guidance and project work effectively.
- Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or general Engineering, providing a strong foundation in aeronautical principles and design.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, enabling efficient documentation and reporting.
- High level of fluency in English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with international stakeholders.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork within multidisciplinary environments.
- Preferred knowledge of key aeronautical regulations such as JAR, FAR, and CS, with a willingness to deepen understanding as part of continuous professional development.
- Ability to adopt a methodical and analytical mindset to manage complex technical information and regulatory requirements.
