Role PurposeWithin Fixed and Mobile Access Operation, this role is managing Vodafone Italy RAN operation & maintenance tasks within the RAN 2nd level support team.The 2nd level support engineer is supposed to trouble-shoot RAN issues, to apply procedures and changes meant to restore the service, to support remotely field engineer on complex troubleshooting, to manage 3rd level vendors support, to follow-up problem management with vendors, to execute planned works, including configuration changes or software upgrades on RAN nodes.The role requires technical expertise on RAN technologies, and at the same time know-how on processes such as incident management, problem management and change management, as well as knowledge of all security policies concerning user access management, patching and hardening related to RAN nodesWhat you’ll doTrouble-shooting issues in RAN technologiesService restoration in case of issuesPhone support to field engineerManage third parties support sevicesExecuting planned worksMaintenance windows activitiesOn call serviceWho you areStrong mobile network architecture knowledgeTechnical skills on Single RAN Node, BSC Air Scale, MantaRay.Good time management and prioritisationKnowledge on incident management, problem management and change management processesAptitude for analysing problems, discovering innovative solutions and hunger for technical knowledgeGood interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build trust and rapportExcellent English language.Not a perfect fit?Worried that you don’t meet all the desired criteria exactly?
