Partner with the best As a Mechanical Field Service Engineer – Heavy‑Duty Gas Turbines , you will play a vital role onsite with our customers. You will lead installation, maintenance, and repair activities, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safe and compliant installations. Your responsibilities include: Providing technical direction for site activities to internal teams and skilled labor, ensuring safety, compliance, and quality. Overseeing overhaul, troubleshooting, and commissioning of Centrifugal/Reciprocating Compressor products at customer sites. Leading customer and contractor meetings to share and update action plans and advise on technical solutions. Ensuring internal training, compliance and quality documentation is updated, followed, and completed according to company standards. Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will: Hold a technical diploma. Have a good working knowledge of the installation and maintenance of rotating equipment. Display a good customer‑service orientation and experience leading customers through tough decisions. Communicate complex technical information to customers and teams with varying levels of technical understanding. Be aware of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance and potential risks. Be a motivated self‑starter who can make key decisions and innovate solutions. Have excellent command and understanding of verbal and written English. Hold an EU passport/European work permit and have strong verbal and written Italian language skills. Be ready to travel significantly (up to 80%) without geographical restriction, including offshore facilities. Work in a way that works for you Flexible working patterns include: Travel to and work on customer sites in line with customer requirements, with work hours and duration dictated by those requirements. In between assignments you will have free time in line with Baker Hughes working‑time guidelines and fatigue management provisions.
