FECC R&D Engineer Junior/Test Assistant Location: Piacenza (PC), Italy. Department: Fives Combustion BU – European Combustion Research Center. We are seeking a junior R&D Engineer to support combustion test activities and develop future burners with low emissions and low‑carbon energy solutions. Responsibilities Organize and plan short‑term combustion tests in collaboration with the FECC manager. Manage the supply chain related to the tests. Participate in the tests: data collection implementation, record keeping, and analysis. Manage the IT for the data collection system and test rig automation. Participate in the maintenance program: planning and supply chain management. Ensure safety during combustion test performance. Qualifications Junior engineer or experienced technician with background in thermal/mechanical/instrumentation & control/electrical fields. Basic knowledge in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. Software: Microsoft Office. Languages: Italian – fluent speaking, reading, writing; English – speaking, reading, writing. Technical curiosity and initiative sense. Ability to analyze and summarize information; strong verbal and communication skills. Additional welcome skills: PLC/HMI environment (Siemens, Schneider…), supervision environment; CAD design software; IT data management; French – speaking, reading, writing.
