Affiliated with The Leading Hotels of the World. OBIETTIVO DELLA POSIZIONE For our Sales & Marketing Team we are looking for a Conference & Events Trainee, to be part of IHC family as internship. The successful candidate will demonstrate a clear commitment to the importance of the philosophy of the brand, strong written and oral communication skills, experience in negotiation of MICE business, event management, time management, project management and MICE sales. He/she will be able to strictly follow all company and Brand procedures and plans, in order to contribute to achieve and exceed revenue targets. He/She reports hierarchically to the Conference & Events Team Leader Requisiti PREFERED REQUIREMENTS Listed below are the requirements that will be considered as an advantage A minimum of 6 months in a sales or operations position within MICE segment Confident use of PMS (Protel, Opera) and CRM (Zoho) The Conference & Event Agent we are looking for must be extremely organized and have good communication skills and ability to relate as well as perform with the operations team at property level. He/She will be focused on negotiation and conversion of incoming MICE opportunities. He/She can create also strong relationship with clients by supporting and following them in all steps of negotiation process until the day of arrival. He/She must be able to set personal high standards. CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Management of RFPs, following Company and Brand’s standard & procedures. Planning and delivery of excellent C&E proposals customizing the offer according to the clients’ needs. Constant update on CRM with opportunities update, calls, account information, tasks, projects. Assure that PMS (Protel and Opera) are properly and constantly updated with all info needed (rates, inventory, etc). Focus on own KPI conversion according to the goals given. Event Management from the first offer until the day of arrival of the client. Actively search for opportunities of new business for the property through sales actions (i.e. BBOB, etc.) and cross-selling for IHC sister properties. Contribution with ideas to improve standards and new products and services offered. Participation to Sales & Commercial internal meetings. Organization and follow up of site inspections. Personality and skills Set high personal performance standards. Plan, organize and use a systematic approach to get things done. Prioritize actions and manage tasks through to completion. Pitches information at the appropriate level. Listen to the needs of others before contributing. Develops positive working relationships at all levels. Constantly reviews in order to improve.
