The restaurant is seeking passionate, enthusiastic, dynamic, and proactive aspiring chefs from around the world who want to gain a once-in-a-lifetime professional and cultural experience in the United States. Responsibilities Perform food preparations, cooking, and cleaning tasks to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Follow the prep list from the Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef. Prepare food items daily in your assigned area and other kitchen sections. Provide clean and sanitized dishes to the dining area and kitchen stations, operating dishwashing equipment. Assist kitchen staff in producing menu items to ensure high performance, guest satisfaction, and profitability. Estimated Monthly Budget Projected income: $2,400 (Hourly wage: $15) Housing costs: $600/month Meals provided during working hours J1 Visa Program This traineeship is part of a J1 visa program designed for young professionals or recent graduates to develop their careers through cultural exchange. The total application fee for the J1 visa process is $1,870, broken down as follows: Initial payment upon signing: $420 (non-refundable) Final payment upon visa approval: $1,450 (including $650 for mandatory health insurance) Note: The first month’s housing must be paid in advance. Airfare is not covered by the employer and varies by departure city. Number of positions: 10 Working hours: 14/hour, $2,400/month Department: F&B Kitchen Candidate Requirements To qualify for a J1 Visa, you must: Be between 18 and 35 years old. Have graduated from an accredited institution with a related degree and at least 12 months of professional experience OR have at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
