Our expertise has led us to revolutionise the traditional image of kitchen hoods. We have transformed them from simple accessories into unique design items capable of improving the quality of life of those who choose our products. We have managed this because the Elica Group is now in a class of its own in the market thanks to its experience, attention to design, refinement in the use of materials and its interest in state-of-the-art technologies that guarantee maximum efficiency and energy savings. The Company has been active since the 1970s under the chairmanship of Francesco Casoli. Over 3000 employees play their part in helping us produce about 17 million items a year between hoods and electric motors. Our production platform centres around five countries including Italy, Poland, Mexico and China and makes us the outright leaders in the world in the sector of hoods and among the leaders in Europe in the design, production and distribution of electric motors for hoods and heating system boilers.

Posizione

We are currently in the process of recruiting a candidate to cover a position of Junior Mechanical Design Engineer - Innovation (Internship).

MISSION

Within the design center, more specifically in the innovation area, he/she deals with the technical development of product concepts conceived.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

· Collaborate within the design center for the engineering of new products, up to the working prototyping phase, cooperating with department colleagues with the aim of developing all innovative and disruptive ideas for new products;

· Designs, finding technical solutions consistent with the product ideas, and follows all prototyping activities as well as testing activities within the internal laboratory;

· Generate 3D models that can be shared within the company;

· Look for new technical solutions to improve existing products or implement them on the concept that will be developed.

Requisiti

At least bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or similar; Professional working proficiency in both Italian and English are a must-have; Good Knowledge of CAD Creo or similar software is mandatory; Good Knowledge of all materials processing and transformation techniques (e.g. moulding, sheet metal bending, injection, etc); Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office pack; A previous experience (curricular internships or theris) will be considered a plus; Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills will complete the profile.
