As the company continues to scale internationally, they are looking for an experienced Travel Suppliers Manager to take ownership of key supplier and distribution relationships across their travel ecosystem.

This is a senior commercial role combining supplier management, travel distribution, GDS strategy and team leadership. You will manage a small Travel Partnerships team while remaining hands-on with strategic supplier relationships and commercial negotiations.

The Role

Italy, ideally Milan

Work model:

Remote-first, with flexibility to travel to the Milan office when required

Employment:

Permanent, full-time

As Travel Suppliers Manager, you will own the company's relationships with key travel suppliers and distribution partners, with particular responsibility for Amadeus/GDS and IATA operations.

You will work closely with Sales, Operations, Finance and Technology to ensure the company has the right supplier relationships, commercial agreements and distribution capabilities to support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and develop strategic relationships with travel suppliers across air, hotels, rail and car rental.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, contract renewals, amendments and supplier agreements.
  • Own the strategic relationship with Amadeus, including contract negotiations, GDS functionality and the implementation of new features.
  • Manage IATA-related operations, including BSP, remittance, guarantee requirements and broader IATA strategy.
  • Evaluate and support NDC distribution and its implications for airline content, commercial agreements and customer experience.
  • Identify new supplier opportunities and develop partnerships that expand and improve the company's travel content.
  • Manage promotional campaigns, commercial overrides and supplier-specific initiatives.
  • Work with Technology teams on APIs, B2B integrations and travel distribution infrastructure.
  • Analyse supplier performance and commercial data using Business Intelligence tools.
  • Partner with Sales, Operations and Finance to resolve supplier-related issues and support business objectives.
  • Lead and develop a team of three Travel Partnership professionals.

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in the travel industry.
  • Strong experience in travel technology, TMC, OTA, airline distribution or a closely related environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Amadeus/GDS, ideally including commercial contracts, negotiations and supplier relationship management.
  • Strong understanding of IATA and BSP operations.
  • Practical understanding of NDC and airline distribution.
  • Experience managing commercial relationships with travel suppliers across areas such as air, hotels, rail and car rental.
  • Understanding of travel booking processes, APIs, B2B integrations and travel technology infrastructure.
  • Ability to bridge commercial, operational and technical stakeholders without needing to be a hands-on developer.
  • Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Previous experience managing or leading a small team.
  • Native-level Italian and professional English.
  • Based in Italy, ideally within reasonable proximity to Milan and comfortable travelling to the office when required.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in a SaaS or scale-up environment.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools, particularly Qlik or similar.
  • Experience working in B2B business travel.

What You Can Expect

  • Competitive salary.
  • Equity/stock option participation.
  • Remote-first working model with flexible working hours.
  • Welfare benefits.
  • International, multicultural environment.
  • High level of ownership and autonomy.
  • Opportunity to influence supplier strategy and commercial decisions in a rapidly scaling travel-tech business.
  • A collaborative environment where proactive, entrepreneurial thinking is encouraged.
