Role: Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager

Work Experience: 10 to 15 years

Meril Endo-Surgery GmbH is hiring for Sales for our Surgical Sutures and Staplers - Wound closure, Endo Mechanical wound closure, Hemostats, and biosurgery products vertical. Our products include absorbable and Non-Absorbable Sutures, Hernia repair solutions, Trocars, Endo Staplers, and Skin staplers.

The ideal candidate will prospect and close sales leads to help generate revenue for the company. They will also be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating the sales strategy. Strong management and coaching skills are required to support the learning and development of the sales team. Prior work experience in Sales for Surgical sutures and Endo Mechanical devices is preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the learning and development of the sales team
  • Coordinate with sales representatives to generate and meet with prospective leads
  • Track and report all sales activities
  • Develop and execute sales strategy through market analysis
  • Drive business growth by delivering on budgeted sales objectives while adhering to organizational policies
  • Manage a team of senior executives, supporting their development plans and engaging in open and honest conversations
  • Review and discuss action plans for achieving the sales budget each month
  • Create and implement plans for conducting promotional activities, develop CRM strategy, and ensure effective execution of marketing strategies
  • Map the potential of the territory, relate it to market trends, and monitor competitors' activities
  • Profile and assess potential, prepare target lists, and enlist new doctors as per business requirements
  • Collaborate with government sales teams to ensure product availability and demand generation at different institutions
  • Build consistent, long-term relationships with Key Opinion Leaders/Business leaders through scientific engagements and effective coverage
  • Follow up with customers to resolve any issues and ensure satisfaction; collaborate with other departments for timely resolutions.
Qualifications:
  • Only candidates with relevant product experience shall be eligible to apply. With a background in sales for surgical sutures, wound closure products, internal staplers, hernia mesh, and biosurgery.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, preferably in Life Sciences or Biotechnology.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant medical device sales experience.
  • Relevant therapeutic experience in areas such as Wound Closure, Hernia solutions, Endo-mechanical Wound closure, and Biosurgery is highly preferred.
  • Excellent decision-making and strong financial management skills.
  • Be an agent of change management.
  • Fluency in written and verbal communication skills in the regional language. Intermediate level of English. Good written and verbal communication skills as appropriate.
  • Willingness to travel with occasional overnight stay(s) according to business needs.
