Your role and responsibilities

The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid. This role is contributing to B&R, Machine Automation Division within Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Bologna. You will be mainly accountable for:

  1. Evaluating territory performance and identifying new business opportunities;
  2. Developing sales and end user customer accounts using appropriate product solutions;
  3. Successfully building relationships with the current customer base and providing necessary sales support;
  4. Preparing and presenting bids and quotations to customers using company price and delivery guidelines while using sound business judgment;
  5. Advising customers on the proper selection, use, and maintenance of specific technology applications, as well as recommending training opportunities offered by the company;
  6. Educating new and existing customers on B&R technology;
  7. Following up on all marketing leads and providing feedback;
  8. Planning promotional events, presentations, and special projects;
  9. Working with regional and corporate resources to develop and close opportunities;
  10. Representing the organization in a professional, ethical, and socially responsible manner.
Qualifications for the role
  • You have a technical education in Mechatronics, Electronics, and technical design;
  • You have previous experience in automation technology and motion systems drive sales;
  • Knowledge of PLCs, motion, drives, industrial PCs, distributed I/O, and HMI technologies;
  • You have solid application and software development experience;
  • You have a willingness to travel;
  • You are at ease communicating in Italian and English, both written and spoken;
  • You have excellent communication skills and a strong customer-oriented approach;
  • You are highly inclined to work in a team.
