Business Controller (m/w/d)

Reporting directly to the Senior Controller, the Business Controller will support improving the holistic reporting and KPI system to track and analyze financial, business, and operational performance/budget deviations and deliver business analysis helpful for strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities:
  1. Support controlling function and Performance Management for overall Italy (Direct and Franchise) regarding financial and operational performance.
  2. Support in the preparation of reports, presentations, and analyses for Top Management and Head-quarters.
  3. Financial support and planning for business cases and expansion projects.
  4. Improve reporting and KPI set, as well as processes to monitor the business.
  5. Enhance budget tracking measures and discuss deviations with relevant cost center responsible.
  6. Generate ideas for continuous improvement of reporting and KPI systems and processes.
  7. Support cost management activities and measures to improve efficiency.
  8. Develop business analyses (e.g., customer analysis, ROI on marketing and recruiting activities) to support strategic planning.

  • Strong analytical and financial skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and derive insights.
  • Interest in performance management and optimization based on data and financial insights.
  • Curiosity and ability to improve reporting capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under time pressure.
  • Holistic approach to processes, from design to execution.
  • High quality and accuracy mindset, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong team player.
Technical requirements:
  • Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Business planning and modeling skills.
  • Experience with advanced controlling tools.
  • Proven English proficiency.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Management, Engineering, or Statistics.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with Tableau.
  • Previous experience in consulting, private equity, or B2C companies.
