Tooling & Set-up Technician

is the role that supports the technical preparation and development of BLM's automation systems. Reports to the Production Manager and works in synergy with the Sales, Technical Office, R&D and Service areas. Is mainly involved in analysing the technical feasibility of requests for proposals, carrying out demos and tests with customers, and training customers on site. Responsabilities Analysing the technical feasibility of each offer request in order to satisfy it in the context of demos and tests; Prepare and carry out demos, tests and training in compliance with rules and procedures, with particular attention to safety; Maintain the order and functionality of machines and equipment in the showroom and work areas. Activities Carrying out technical feasibility analyses, tests, demos, trials, on the basis of quotation requests and orders acquired from customers; Performing demos and testing with customers; Conducting on-site training activities with customers; Preparing the system for testing, including any equipment assembly and connection activities, in collaboration with departmental technicians; Monitoring and verifying the timing, quality and outcomes of activities performed, acquiring and providing feedback and suggestions for improvement; Constant attention to the transfer of information, in order to guarantee correct and precise reporting of times and costs in company systems; Occasional participation in fairs and events; Supporting technical assistance with any issues pertaining to their area of responsibility. Must have Diploma in a technical field (preferably mechanical or mechatronics); Previous experience in machine tool assembly, wiring and testing; Professional competence (B1/B2 level) in the use of the English language, in order to interact directly with customers and foreign colleagues; Strong propensity for manual work, mechanical assembly and adjustment; Reading of mechanical drawings and use of measuring instruments; Experience in the use of traditional machine tools such as lathe, milling machine and linear grinding; Aptitude for 3D programming and the use of CAD/CAM type programming software; Ability to relate constructively and proactively with customers and colleagues.
