Business Development Manager

for implementing the strategic plan of growth in Italy. Job Description We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us to expand our client portfolio. You will be the front of the company and will have dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy. Your job as a business development manager is to take over a mix of existing customers and to identify sales leads, pitch our testing services to new clients and maintain a good working relationship with new contacts. To be successful in this role you need to have a compelling sales personality and a hunger to chase and close new business from cold calls and inbound warm leads. You will be reporting to the Sales Director located in the Headquarters in Barcelona. This position is open for candidates who are willing to work from the offices in our Lab in Udine or remotely from Nord-Ovest Area or Emilia Romagna Region, however we are open to consider other options if it is a particularly interesting candidate. Your main responsibilities will include: Develop a growth strategy for the region Generate leads and cold calling prospective customers Develop opportunities in target markets with support of the laboratory Conduct research to identify new services and customer needs Nurturing and developing relationships with key customer accounts Arrange business meetings with prospective clients Promote the company’s testing services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives Providing specialist advice of the testing services you’re selling Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers We are looking for: Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role Experience in the Automotive Testing - Engineering Services is a plus Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) Automotive Market knowledge Communication and negotiation skills Ability to build rapport Time management and planning skills Ability to keep objectives and goals in sight Proficient English. Any other European languages will be an asset.
