Job Description In alignment with our company strategy to enable innovation, growth and productivity by digital and data capabilities, our commercial division has created the commercial Digital, Data and Analytics (DDA) organization. This central organization is focused on using digital, data, and analytics capabilities across the end-to-end commercialization process to drive data-driven decision making on behalf of our patients and customers. As DDA continues its transformation to bring premier capabilities to the commercial organization in Core Europe Region (CER), we are seeking a dynamic talent for the role of Head of Data & Analytics, Italy. This individual will contribute to the scale-up of data and analytics activities in our commercial portfolio for Italy. The candidate will support the management of data science, data visualization, digital analytics and Data analytics & AI strategy in the market. The candidate will also support the management of local vendor relationships. In this capacity, the candidate will have the opportunity to use and apply data to produce actionable insights that drive greater customer understanding to help meet in-line brand growth objectives and achieve improved customer engagement in CER. They will be an integral part in helping to facilitate the creation of actionable commercial use-cases that create ‘data-driven’ decisions, that leverage knowledge across the organization and be more relevant to the customer. The role will be based in Italy and will report to the Head of Data & Analytics, CER. The preferred candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, understanding of healthcare & technology, a demonstrated record of leading multiple delivery teams to derive actionable insights from analytics. The candidate will have demonstrated consistently strong leadership skills, an ability to work independently and deal well with ambiguity and strong collaboration skills. The candidate will empower a growth mindset and inspire a culture of continual learning. This role will require interfacing and collaborating with many teams throughout Italy and other markets, so strong communication skills is a must. Individuals who will thrive in this role are motivated by developing a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical business and possess an ability to define and translate objectives and business questions into solvable pieces, drive solutioning, enable inter-connected problem solving and produce actionable insights. Primary Responsibilities: Lead our Center of Excellence for data and analytics, enabling business in Italy Engage with business leaders to drive awareness of the data and analytics capabilities and DDA operating model in the Italian market Serve as strategic partner for Italian and CER business leaders to help shape commercial decisions informed by data-driven insights Establish close relationships with partners and stakeholders within Italy, HHDDA, marketing, medical, finance and IT Understand business stakeholders' priorities to help develop data-driven solutions that support business objectives in collaboration with the broader commercial insights team Inform choice of appropriate analytical techniques/methodologies and solutions leveraging your understanding of pharmaceutical data landscape Implement robust refinement practices and customer feedback loops to ensure features and services delivered are aligned with business/user needs Support local management teams across data science, data visualization, digital analytics data analytics & AI strategy Communicate & collaborate effectively with broader ecosystem with competencies in customer engagement, data strategy, population health, marketing operations Be accountable for ensuring delivery of analyses with high quality standards, timeliness, compliance, and excellent user experience (routinely keep client base updated on progress). Manage local relationships with vendor partner ecosystem Apply leadership skills in facilitating discussions, resolving conflicts and reaching consensus, leading by example and through empathy Embody our Ways of Working: Operate as One Team, Focus on What Matters, Act with Urgency & Treat Everyone with Dignity & Respect. Required Experience and Skills: Strong understanding health care landscape and commercial analytics capabilities, data driven analytics, advanced analytics. Experience could be from a similar role at a pharmaceuticals firm or at a management consulting firm. Strong understanding health care landscape in Italy Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills in English and italian Excellent organizational skills, with ability to navigate a complex, global/regional/local matrix environment Self-motivated, proactive, ability to work independently and collaborate seamlessly. Preferred Experience and Skills: Healthcare or pharmaceutical industry knowledge Diversified background coming from previous experiences in different roles and/or different industries Advanced analytics applied to omnichannel engagement models to detect, analyze and improve the model itself overtime Have hands on experience with some data base management and/or business intelligence tools like SQL, SAS, R, Python and development experience in tools like Power BI, Spotfire, Qlik, Tableau Current Employees apply
