For further details, we kindly invite you to follow us on Linkedin to stay updated with the latest job opportunities.PositionOur client, an important multinational Group operating in the FMCG, is currently looking for:Ice Cream R&D Laboratory ManagerThe positions will be placed in the Technical R&D Unit, which oversees end-to-end the research and development/industrialization and continuous improvement of the products of the Category.He/she will have the main scope to ensure the timely and efficient execution of all laboratory tests and propose solutions to improve the performances of the product both for the development of new products and for the improvement of existing products, in order to fully satisfy different internal needs / requirements (e.g. market, sensorial, qualitative, technological, etc.)Main Task/Activities:Will ensure the timely and efficient execution of all laboratory tests in accordance with the evolution of the legislation, ensuring analytical and interpretative reliability to protect the consumerWill propose solutions aimed at improving product related aspects (quality, technology, sensorial, etc.)Will revise, in the critical phase, the types of semi-finished products of the category of competence, already used in the Company, in order to improve the organoleptic and structure of the product and possibly reduce the costs of procurement and processingWill ensure laboratory analysis, tests and research in projects aimed at controlling and improving products, supporting the related decision-making processWill ensure analysis of products developed or used by competitorsWill ensure the sampling required for tastings, sensory analysis, taste tests, supporting the related decision-making processWill ensure the detection and construction of the analysis database and compile statisticsWill oversee the technological evolution of new laboratory equipment and evaluates the advantages related to their use, in order to propose investments in this regardWill be accountable for managing people assigned, ensuring a management system based on group values, motivation, competence development and empowermentWill recruit, manage, motivate, coach and develop own teamWill guarantee Human Resources professional development, evaluating people and proposing development initiativesRequirementsMS or PhD degree in Food Engineering, Nutrition, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or equivalent15 + years of experience in a R&D Lab within multinational FMCG companiesStrong skills with MS Office (especially Powerpoint and Excel)English professional proficiency required, any other language is a plusProject ManagementPeople ManagementExcellent relational skills and proactivityAvailability to business tripsLocation: South Piedmont, ItalyOther informationInterested people should send a detailed Curriculum Vitae, with the necessary written consent to holding their personal dataThis company is an equal opportunities employer.
