Arup Italia is seeking a **Mechanical Lead** to join our growing Building Services Team in our Italian office.
Role:
- Responsible of the Mechanical and Public Health team of Arup Italia reporting directly to the building services Discipline Leader
- Coordination of daily team activities and resources on projects
- Accountable for technical and financial performance, projects delivery and quality of the team
- Fostering team's growth both in terms of technical and organisational performance
- Promoting learning from successes and problems within the mechanical team
- Setting and meeting agreed programmes and budgets on projects and non-project related activities
- Participate and contribute to the European Mechanical Skill Network of Arup
- Responsible for the overall design and management of large, complex, long-term projects - coordinating many different people/facilities/resources etc.
within tight time and budget constraints
- Responsible and accountable on projects for relationship with architects, clients and other design team members (internal and/or external)
Key competencies - Requirements:
- Over 15 years experience in international and/or Italian MEP companies
- Strong mechanical technical skills
- Have excellent people skills, team player
- Good Italian and English language skills
- International experience will be positively evaluated
- Very competent designer with a large and consolidated experience in the building services design of a range of medium to large scale projects and sectors (buildings, masterplan, infrastructure)
- Degree Qualified with Masters Engineering Degree or equivalent
- Competent in using/reviewing mechanical and PH design software and IT skills,
- Knowledge of Revit MEP and IES/EnergyPlus
- Energy efficiency and Environmental design skills
- Ability to think outside the core discipline and integrate multi-disciplinary approach into holistic coordinated solutions
- Good planning and organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
