Position Information Posting Number: 20244959V Position Title: Financial Operations Assistant Posting Type Student Hours/week: 10-15 hours/week Eligibility: Work Study ONLY Semester 2024 Spring Location Detailed Work Schedule Work will take place between the hours of 9 AM – 5 PM, Monday through Friday but days/hours work is flexible. Number of positions: 1 Department: 320-VP for Student Life Contact Name: Lauren McCusker Contact Phone/Extension: 9-4876 Position Summary Information Job Description Summary: The Financial Operations Assistant within the Division of Student Life will be responsible for assisting the Director of Finance and Administration with the administration of the budget including but not limited to, running reports from Cognos and Banner, preparation of journal entries, preparing and updating spreadsheets with new transactions, and work within Excel performing budget to actual analysis. Perform ad hoc financial analysis. Requirements: Candidate must be an undergraduate accounting major. Ability to work with and adapt to new software and systems. Ability to work discreetly with sensitive information. Good interpersonal skills and positive attitude. Must have advanced ability to use Microsoft Excel and have completed or be currently enrolled in Accounting courses with a basic understanding of debits and credits.
