Position Information Posting Number: 20234854V Position Title: Events and Operations Assistant Posting Type Student Hours/week: Up to 20 hours p/week Eligibility: Work study preferred but open to all students Semester 2023-2024 Academic Year Location Detailed Work Schedule Number of positions: 1-3 Department: 201-Dean-Engineering Contact Name: Alyson Hersker Contact Phone/Extension: 9-5495 Position Summary Information Job Description Summary: The College Events Assistant will support the College Event Planner with the planning and execution of high-level, priority events for the dean and other academic and administrative leadership from concept through delivery.

The position provides the opportunity to develop interpersonal and professional development skills while contributing to the College's mission. The individual will gain valuable experience as they assist with the coordination and execution of College events and have direct exposure working with alumni, donors, College leadership, and others. Requirements: Requirements for the position include:
- A demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office/365 tools. - An advanced organizational and time management skills. - Excellent written and oral communication skills. - The ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. - Must be a problem-solver, self-starter and capable of finding solutions with minimal oversight. - An ability to work with and discuss confidential matters and communicate with senior leadership accordingly. - A commitment to work occasional evenings or weekends as the demands of the job dictate. Additional Information: Physical Demands Summary: This job requires lifting or carrying general equipment or supplies (up to 30 pounds) to and from events.
