This position reports to Senior Engineering Manager Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity.
Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner.
You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.
The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid.
This role contributes to the Robotics and Discrete Automation Division in Sesto San Giovanni (MI).
You will be mainly accountable for: Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments.
Creating and analyzing mechanical components and systems using CAD software.
Preparing detailed technical drawings for manufacturing.
Conducting simulations and tests to verify the functionality and safety of designs.
Assisting in preparing proposals and presentations of engineering projects.
Utilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines.
You will join a dynamic and talented team, where you will be able to thrive.
Qualifications for the role Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
2 years of experience as a Mechanical Designer.
Qualified in using AutoCAD 2D and 3D.
Enhanced knowledge of Inventor and FEM.
Familiarity with PDM and PLM software will be considered a plus.
Creative and proactive approach; passionate about working in a team.
Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
Willingness to travel.
