Data Science & Project Management - Energy Sector Italgas Group is the first operator in Italy in gas distribution and the third in Europe. In addition to gas, the Group also deals with water in Campania and, thanks to the acquisition of Geoside, we operate in the energy efficiency sector, with an integrated offer of energy management consultancy, financing services and proprietary technological solutions to optimize their energy consumption.
Italgas reconfirms itself at the forefront in the European panorama of gas distributors and a reference model also in the field of innovation, in fact it is facing a digital transformation process that involves not only the infrastructure, but also the processes and people. An important but necessary effort to provide concrete support for the energy transition.
In this context, Bludigit S.p.A. was created, a company of the Italgas Group created to give further impetus to the digital transformation of Italgas and to offer cutting-edge solutions also to other operators in the energy and infrastructure sectors, to support and incentivize the energy transition and digital.
Bludigit offers proprietary solutions to accelerate digital transformation, through an ecosystem of technological partners and through the Digital Factory, the Italgas Group's innovation hub.
 
Job DescriptionWe are seeking individuals with expertise in IT and specialization in data-related topics within the energy sector. We are looking for individuals who can handle complexity with confidence, maintaining a challenging approach to issues while fostering synergy and inclusion. As a Data Science & Project Management, you will be responsible for supporting the coordination, management, and monitoring of project interventions characterized by strong cross-functionality across the Group, involving various business functions, and managing them through all phases (initiation, planning, monitoring and control, closure).
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the business to enhance and exploit the group's information assets.
• Manage relationships with the Energy business owner for gathering and analyzing requirements, along with other internal and external stakeholders involved in business and project processes.
• Develop, coordinate, and manage transformative data-based project plans.
• Economic planning, preparation of ordinary budget management, forecasting, and monitoring trends with a focus on optimizing investments.
• Manage and monitor progress through operational and managerial SALs (budget, deadlines, milestones, deliverables, etc.).
• Proactively identify and manage project issues and risks (impacts, mitigation actions, escalation).
• Define data strategy and its implementation path.
• Support analysis and development teams in detecting any issues or delays in deliverable delivery.
• Coordinate and support any external suppliers to the organization.
• Analyze and assess project risks to identify mitigation actions.
 
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields such as Mathematics or Physics.
• Skills in developing solutions using machine learning techniques (supervised and unsupervised) / generative AI.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing solutions using advanced machine learning techniques.
• Experience with generative AI methods, demonstrating creativity in problem-solving.
• Knowledge of data transformation technologies and ETL tools.
• Expertise in utilizing data transformation technologies to process and manipulate data effectively.
• Proficiency in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) tools for data integration.
• In-depth knowledge of major SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding and practical experience with both SQL and NoSQL database systems.
• Familiarity with Databricks and basic database querying tools.
• Experience with Databricks platform for big data analytics.Proficiency in using basic database querying tools.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft technology stack.
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Microsoft technology stack.
• Excellent ability to assess impacts on the Information System resulting from developments, triggering necessary investigations with competent department structures.
• Proven ability to evaluate the impact of technological developments on the Information System.
• Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile development methodologies.
 
Preferred Qualification:
• Knowledge of synthesis systems in the energy sector.
