Help us make a real impact on shaping a better, more sustainable future.We are looking for a proactive and motivated teammate to join our newly-formed Sales Channels product team within the Commercials global product group. This team integrates all aspects of Kraken that facilitate customer acquisition for our clients, including Customer Enrollment, Referrals and Rewards, Affiliate Tracking, and more. As a Senior Product Manager, you'll be accountable for the strategy of the team as a whole and responsible for multiple products in the Sales Channels space. To be successful you'll definitely need to be a self-starter: someone who sees a problem and can't help but want to fix it You'll be well organised, working methodically and clearly to ensure problems go from inception to solution. What you'll doLeading and influencing: together with the team Tech Lead, you'll need to create a strong sense of purpose and mission for the development team, aligning the products vision to the overall group strategy and advocating for the product in the organisationProblem solving: you'll be dealing with ambiguity and will need to address issues by analysing diverse sources of information with a structured and facilitate approach, experimenting to validate hypotheses and find suitable solutionsProduct knowledge: you'll have to do a fair amount of handover coordination in the early stages to deepen your current products knowledge and then explore business and user needs to refine the product vision and set goals to achieve itPlanning, delivery, validation: you'll need to prioritise work to maximise business value, apply agile principles pragmatically and collaborate with the team to ensure effective and efficient delivery, while mitigating risks and reducing dependenciesStakeholders Management: you'll deal with a broad set of stakeholders, with whom you'll have to collaborate and nurture trusted relationships to facilitate your team efforts to meet product goals and visionWhat you'll needEffective communicator: strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to articulate complex concepts in a way that the targeted audience can follow and understandSystem thinker: ability to think from a system point of view, deal with complexity and can manage ambiguity adopting effective approachesStrategic mindset: ability to think strategically and align product initiatives with the long-term goals of the organisationEntrepreneurial spirit: demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit, with a willingness to take risks, experiment with new ideas, and drive innovation within the product portfolioCustomer-centric approach: commitment to understanding and prioritising customer needs, ensuring products meet or exceed customer expectations.Data-driven decision-making: proficiency in leveraging data analytics and insights to drive product strategy and decision-makingInnovative problem solver: proven track record of creatively solving complex problems and overcoming obstacles in product developmentMarket awareness: demonstrated understanding of market trends, competitor analysis, and customer needs to inform product decisionsAdaptability and flexibility: ability to adapt to changing priorities, market conditions, and organisational dynamics in a fast-paced environmentWhat else you'll love about usOctopus Energy is a unique culture - An organisation where people learn, decide, and build quicker.
